Siteway launches three new CMOS image sensors for industrial applications with SmartGS-2 technology

The three new CMOS image sensor products SC350HGS / SC650HGS / SC950HGS released by Siteway this time are all equipped with Siteway SmartGS®-2 technology, which uses the industry's advanced BSI architecture combined with the global shutter innovation process to provide 3MP for industrial cameras ~9MP black-and-white imaging solution, based on BSI architecture to provide better sensitivity and clarity, while using global shutter technology to avoid blur and distortion of capturing moving objects, to achieve accurate capture, and to enhance machine vision capture in intelligent industrial applications The accuracy of the image data.

 

Thanks to the innovative SmartGS®-2 technology, the maximum shutter speed of the three new industrial-grade products is doubled, the dynamic range is increased by 8dB, and the high frame rate imaging can be achieved at the same time. The SC350HGS frame rate can reach 75fps. , SC650HGS and SC950HGS have frame rates up to 65fps, which can provide industrial cameras with better imaging performance with high resolution, high frame rate, precise capture and no distortion. Compared with the 4:3 frame of the mainstream 2MP global shutter products in the industry, SC350HGS has a larger Pixel Size and can output higher-definition 1:1 frame images, which is more suitable for industrial applications.

In addition, the QE (quantum efficiency) of the three products in the 520nm band is also increased to 90%, effectively increasing the amount of light entering the CIS. Taking SC950HGS as an example, the sensitivity is improved by 20.3%, and the reading noise is reduced by 50%. The trapped electrons are greatly increased by 2.5 times. With excellent imaging performance, it provides clear and identifiable video images for machine vision applications in intelligent industrial scenes.
